Dear Mr. James:

Thank you for writing me with your thoughts regarding "Chemtrails." I always appreciate hearing the concerns of my constituents and welcome this opportunity to respond.

According to the Air Force, "Chemtrails" are a hoax that has been investigated and refuted by many established and accredited universities, scientific organizations, and major media publications.

As you may know, the Air Force's policy is only to observe and forecast the weather so the information can be used to support military operations. The Air Force is not conducting any weather modification experiments or programs and has no plans to do so in the future.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write me with your concerns regarding this issue. It is an honor and a privilege to represent you and Oregon in the United States Senate. Please call on me in the future if I can be of further service.
